Auditioning in the Summer Heat

Last week, we had a full day of auditions. Since we were doing screentests and taping the actors, we needed to eliminate all unnecessary noises. Meaning, we couldn't use the window air conditioner to keep the room cool.

And those film lights get hot!

In fact, a few of the actors who came in for their screentest commented on the change in temperature; from a nice-and-cool waiting room to a very hot-and-stuffy audition room.

At times we had a bit of a lull (when a couple actors cancelled or didn't show up). Then we could cool the room off for a bit.

But, of course, the cool air never lasted very long...

Then again, what's a New York summer without the heat and humidity?!
